SalaryWe invite fit and healthy persons with good work ethos to register their interest as divers in the pearling industry for an immediate start in the Darwin or Broome.
These positions offer an attractive remuneration based on payment per shell caught by you or a casual day rate depending on the position, ongoing fulltime positions available.
The person we seek must:
Be available for an immediate start for diving operations
Be a minimum of 18 years of age
Pass a current industry AS/NZ 2299 diver's medical certificate by a doctor from the SPUMS list. A full list can be found at http://www.spums.org.au/diving-doctors-commercial
Hold an ADAS part 2 or 3 commercial divers qualification or a Rescue Diver Qualification
Hold a Pearl Producers Association (PPA) Induction Card. PPA Induction courses are run in Darwin / Broome, this will be arranged for suitable applicants.
Be an Australian Permanent Resident or Citizen
Have the ability to work in a team orientated environment
Have the ability to work at sea and live in close quarters
Have the ability to work in remote areas and surroundings
Be able to pass a drug and alcohol screen.
Having drift diving experience and / or knowledge will be considered advantageous.
