BGT is excited to Partner with Ballarat Community Health (BCH) in seeking a candidate to undertake a Cert III Business Traineeship within their People and Culture Team. 

Ballarat Community Health (BCH) strives for high quality, flexible and responsive service delivery and health promotion with a focus on service monitoring, review and evaluation. BCH provides a broad range of services to the community of Ballarat, with outreach services delivered in the Central Highlands region and beyond. There is a primary emphasis in all service delivery on health promotion and illness prevention.

About the Role:

The People & Culture (P&C) Trainee provides generalist P&C and administration support to the P&C team and to the organisation. The role provides support to staff and managers, assistance with the administration of recruitment, staff orientation, training, and employee health and wellbeing. The trainee will be exposed to all areas of P&C over a 12-month period but will focus on the fundamental administrative P&C processes primarily. 

About You:

•Effective oral and verbal communication and reporting skills 

•Understanding of empathy and patience towards clients and staff 

•Ability to use Microsoft office suite and window-based programs.

Ability to understand the need to prioritise workloads and conflicting tasks and mange deadlines 

• Show initiative to solve problems. 

• Good attention to detail 

• Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of maintaining privacy and confidentiality. 

• The successful applicant will be required to maintain a current driver’s licence.

• The successful applicant will be required to undertake a police records check. Appointment is subject to the outcome of this check. 

• The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a valid employment Working with Children Check whilst employed in this position.
