About the Position
This role acts as a HR specialist to support our Establishment Managers across the business operations and provides the full range of general Human Resources services and activities.
Driving engagement initiatives and partnering with your own portfolio
Partner with Establishment Managers providing HR advice and solutions on a broad range of generalist HR activities and IR matters in line with YMCA's policies, procedures, relevant legislation and applicable industrial instruments;
Lead complex HR workplace investigations, performance improvement and disciplinary processes with effective documentation and appropriate communications;
Provide support to the P & C Operations Lead and Executive Leader, People and Culture with matters relating to Enterprise Bargaining Agreements development and negotiations as required
Support the P & C Operations Manager with the review and development of HR Services, policies, workflow maps, processes and procedures to enhance the HR operational function across the organisation.
About You
3-5 years’ experience as a HR Generalist with experience in medium to large organisation;
Degree qualifications in Human Resource Management or related disciplines;
High Level of experience in HR/ER Case Management and conducting investigations;
Solid understanding of employment legislation, procedural fairness and natural justice
Demonstrated ability to support a culture of continuous improvement, be innovative and develop creative solutions to resolve HR Challenges
Demonstrated ability in building and maintaining strong relationships
Excellent written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills;
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines and ensure accuracy;
Good eye for detail ensuring and ensure accuracy;
Currently possess, or be willing to obtain a positive notice Blue Card.
Desirable:
Comprehensive and working knowledge of payroll systems;
Experience with Payroll and HRIS technology; (Success Factors);
Business process improvement experience.
