- Completion of a Pharmacy degree from a University that is recognised by the Pharmacy Board of Australia, or assessment by APEC (or equivalent body) if overseas qualification, and eligible for registration as a Pharmacist in NSW on completion of intern training program (ITP).
- Understanding of the role of the hospital pharmacist in achieving positive healthcare outcomes.
- Sound communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in undertaking all tasks.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to apply clinical knowledge (e.g. pharmacology) in practical situations to improve patient outcomes.
- Demonstrated willingness and ability to participate in required training and commitment to continuing education and professional development.
- Computer literacy and understanding of relevant health related information systems.
