PHARMACY ASSISTANT/ DISPENSARY TECHNICIAN APPRENTICE
Amcal Pharmacy Kings Cross has an exciting career opportunity for an apprentice Pharmacy Assistant/Dispensary Technician
This position would suit a dedidcated candidate looking to further their career as a Pharmacy Assistant/Dispensary Technician. The successful candidate will receive ongoing support and training to complete a Certificate 3 or 4 in Community Pharmacy.
We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in healthcare services, who is enthusiastic, committed and motivated, with a passion for excellent customer service.
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications
Must have or be willing to obtain: The Pharmacy Guild of Australia SIRCIND002 - Support the Supply of Pharmacy Medicines and Pharmacist Only Medicines Statement of Attainment.
Must have or be willing to obtain: First Aid & C.P.R Certification
Duties and responsibilities:
- Support and assist the pharmacist in dispensing in an accurate and timely manner
- Receive and hand out prescriptions efficiently, communicating patient needs to the pharmacist effectively
- Coordinating and preparing dosing administration aids (DAA)
- Assist in delivering pharmacy healthcare services
- Ordering and management of dispensary stock
- Coordinate pharmacy deliveries
- Provide patients with health care solutions
- Give advice on over the counter medications
- Assist in daily stock replenishment and merchandising
- Customer service & Cashier processing
- Visual merchandising
- Store presentation & Cleaning
Required Skills:
- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to work in a busy community pharmacy
- Good communication skills
- Prior customer service experience
- Strong work ethic
- Eye for detail and accuracy
- Be able to work both independently and within a team
- Be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong multi-tasking ability
- FRED dispense experience preferred, but not necessary

Salary: $23.38 – $35.07 per hour
