Salary: $56,294.42 to $61,679.76 base per annum / $60,223.98 to $72,649.78 base per annum

About the Role:
An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated Pharmacy Assistant or Pharmacy Technician with previous experience and knowledge in hospital or community pharmacy to join our friendly team.
The successful applicant will work in different areas of the Pharmacy department and will be involved in the department’s core activities including dispensing medications to inpatients and outpatients and drug distribution to wards and clinical areas; pre-packing; assisting with stock control; computer data entry and various other duties. The role includes weekend work as per roster.

We are seeking a skilled and energetic Pharmacy Assistant/Technician who possess a passion for person centred care. We welcome applications from people with the appropriate knowledge and skills to join our friendly and supportive team.

Selection Criteria:
1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia
2. Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant/Technician in Hospital or Community Pharmacy including experience using Pharmacy computer systems
3. Demonstrated knowledge of legislative requirements relating to pharmaceuticals
4. Attention to detail and accuracy in undertaking all tasks
5. Excellent oral and written communication skills and demonstrated interpersonal and problem solving skills
6. Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team
7. Demonstrated organisational skills and proven time management skills
8. A proven record of punctuality and reliability and availability for weekend work as per roster requirements.
