As the Retail Manager, you will be ultimately responsible and accountable for the management and performance of the retail business, regarding both financials and personnel. In your role as the Retail Manager, you will ensure that TerryWhite Chemmart’s standards and procedures are implemented and maintained.
- RESPONSIBILTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Personnel Management
- Development and implementation of staff roster in conjunction with Store Manager.
- Identify team learning needs and develop and implement training plans.
- Coordinate and lead effective team meetings.
- Remain up to date with all TerryWhite Chemmart information, promotions, and activities and communicate to team.
- Supervise, direct and support team members.
- Ensure that team members are following appropriate TerryWhite Chemmart process and procedures at all times (i.e. cash handling)
- Assess, measure and provide feedback on staff performance.
Customer service
- All team members are proficient in the operation the point of sale system
- Ensure team member recommendations for over the counter products are within experience and training level.
- Customers are referred to the pharmacist where the customer will benefit from additional information or direction
- Customer orders/inquiries are followed through with the supplier in a timely fashion
- Receive and resolve customer complaints and refer when necessary
- Accept prescriptions for dispensing as per pharmacy procedure when required
- Lead and promote TerryWhite Chemmart programs
Merchandising
- Ensure that displays and shelves are clean and neat and presentation standards maintained
- Coordinate stock movement from storage areas, placed on shelves, and any necessary ticketing/signage displayed
- Monitor, order and replenish stock as required in collaboration with the Stock Controller
- Apply TerryWhite Chemmart promotional standards and monitor performance
- Apply pharmacy security procedures, by being aware of customer activity and take measures to minimise theft.
DESIRABLE
Qualifications
- Year 10 completion
- Certificate II, III or IV in Community Pharmacy
- Certificate IV in Frontline Management
Experience
- Experience in providing a high level of customer service, including problem solving
- Retail Pharmacy industry experience
