We are looking for an experienced retail manager who is available for 30 - 38 hours a week (weekdays only). Our pharmacy is a busy, independent pharmacy in Earlwood. If are not an experienced retail manager but you have pharmacy assistant experience we would be prepared to provide training so you can progress into the retail manager role.
We would be prepared to offer above award rates to the right candidate.
You would be working in a busy pharmacy as part of a large friendly team.
Responsibilities and Duties
Receiving and receipting orders and setting retail prices (we will provide you with training and assistance so you can become confident in this area).
Supervising and delegating to our part-time and junior staff.
Placing front of shop orders and dealing with reps.
Keeping the point of sale system up to date.
Dealing with credits.
Providing friendly and efficient customer service.
Working closely with the owners and pharmacists to ensure the pharmacy is as well run as possible.
The hours are flexible but you must be available on at least 4 weekdays and to at least 5:00 pm. There is no weekend or evening work required.
Qualifications and Skills
You must be confident with computers.
Previous pharmacy assistant experience in Australia is essential.
Our pharmacy's focus is on health and expert medical advice. We aim to be the destination pharmacy for medication and health needs both prescription and OTC.
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Previous experience in community pharmacy in Australia;
- POS experience;
- Good communication skills;
- Excellent time management skills;
- Sound knowledge of the OTC Pharmacy product category;
- Ideally have worked in community pharmacy for at least 3 years full time and have ordering experience.
