About the opportunity
We are seeking a Physiotherapy Aide to join our team and support the Physiotherapy Team in delivering treatment programs to our residents. We operate a wonderful home in Kellyville. You will work with a great team of passionate people and your contribution will make a difference to our residents' enjoyment of their life every day. You will be worked Monday to Friday - 65 hours per fortnight.

Key Responsibilities:
- Observe residents during treatment to compile and evaluate data on patients' responses and progress, and report to physiotherapist
- Instruct, motivate, safeguard and assist patients practicing exercises and functional activities, under direction of physiotherapist
- Instruct and supervise group exercise classes when required
- Secure patients into or onto therapy equipment. Transport patients to and from treatment areas, using wheelchairs or providing standing support
- Confer with physical therapy staff and others to discuss and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatment
- Record treatment given and equipment used recorded in AutumnCare notes system
- Perform clerical duties, such as taking inventory, ordering supplies, answering telephone, taking messages, and filling out forms
- Maintain equipment and furniture to keep it in good working condition, including performing the assembly and disassembly of equipment and accessories
- Administer active therapeutic exercises, heat pack applications, and electrical modality treatments, such as ultrasound (once dosage and treatment times have been programmed) and TENS under the direction and/or supervision of the physiotherapist
Skills/Requirements:
- Certificate III or IV in Aged Care or Individual Support will be highly regarded
- Minimum 1+ years' experience working in a similar role
- Previous experience in Aged Care will be desirable
- Empathic communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Customer service experience
- Must have valid working visa
- Current Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Current Influenza and COVID-19 vaccination
