Situated within the renowned Exercise Medicine Research Institute (EMRI) at Edith Cowan University, Vario Health Clinic stands at the forefront of pioneering knowledge, research and clinical practice where our services promote exercise as a core component of healthcare for complex and chronic conditions.
Vario Health Clinic offers a multidisciplinary approach including exercise physiology, physiotherapy and dietetics. We actively foster a sense of community through specialised group exercise sessions for cancer patients and survivors, veterans, people with ongoing chronic conditions and children with physical and developmental challenges.
The clinic’s most significant distinction lies in its integration within EMRI which conducts ground-breaking research exploring the transformative potential of exercise as a form of medicine. Vario represents the seamless integration of research and practical application in the field of exercise medicine. Our services have not only improved clinical management but have also provided Western Australian patients with access to state-of-the-art technology & highly experienced practitioners.
The Opportunity
A unique opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced Physiotherapist to represent and provide services within our institute. You will have access to fully serviced and equipped consultation rooms alongside experienced allied health administrative and scheduling support. This is an opportunity to grow a client base and to tap into opportunities with research and public clients who attend the Institute and Vario Health Clinic for other specialist services. You will work alongside industry experts in clinical practice, exercise medicine, rehabilitation, strength and conditioning, research and other disciplines.
This opportunity would best suit someone seeking part time / flexible work hours at the outset with an interest in building a full-time client base from within a world leading research facility and a highly reputable clinical setting.
About You
You will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Physiotherapy.
- Current Registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
- Registered with Medicare as a Provider.
- a minimum of 3 years industry-based experience and the ability to contribute to the development of the research profile of the Institute.
