What you'll be doing

As part of a multidisciplinary team providing a comprehensive assessment, relevant physical therapy treatment component, interdisciplinary input and relevant follow ups of patients referred to the Pain Management Clinic. Contribution to the running of the pain management program is also expected. There is also teaching, clinical support and research within the Pain and Physiotherapy Department on the management of chronic pain.
Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified for this position following suitable labour market testing.
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Additionally, Category A workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.

Selection Criteria * Possess skills and experience in the physiotherapy management of patients with persistent pain. Must have experience in running pain management programs
- Demonstrate the experience and competence in the management of and the resources to run an effective pain management service and program for patients with persistent pain
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively as a member of the multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary team and possess excellent communication skills
- Be a good role model and be able to provide clinical support, including education and training of junior staff
- Demonstrate commitment to best practice including clinical research and quality and personal professional development
- Qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professional (state) award and The Physiotherapy Board of Australia
