Essential Qualifications/Education: Dimploma in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Science / OR +5 Years experience in planning/ Fulfiment role
Essential Previous Experience: Production / manufacturing ( 5 years – planning or manufacturing ) Experience with SAP (MM and/or PP) Plant Operations
MAIN DUTIES:
- Review & align monthly plant production schedule w/ plant material manager/ MRP planner
- Understand plant monthly and quarterly production process/ challenges/ schedule changes
- Understand and analyse plant backlog (Spikes) / past due / identify large-elephant orders
- Review 30-60 days production plan, ensuring adequate shipment coverage and align any changes with Material Manager/ Planner
- Work with plant to improve PGI date reliability / monthly plant connect process
- Work with plant to optimize last week production into shipment conversion
- Align & follow-up with plant/ report to Com-ops on commercial exceptions
- Expedites – CS teams raised expedites: COPC works with the plant & CS to an agreed production schedule for expedited products. Advises CS team on alternate options
- Prioritization – Product marketing together with fulfilment planner defines product families & customer orders that need to be prioritized: COPC works with plant / marketing teams/ CS towards a agreed production plan for prioritized products
- Critical to Revenue – Fulfilment Planner define orders which are critical to current month revenue: COPC Work with plant to ensure critical to revenue orders are produced in the month
- Top 10 customers – Fulfilment Planner review top 10 customer past due and critical orders: COPC works with plant to ensure that top 10 customer past due are beuilt before other non-top 10 customer orders
- Improve Communication between CO/ Plant / Other stakeholders:
- Own plant - com-ops connect (Summary tab / Key Orders with COIS comments tab/ Expedites tab )
- Identify/ communicate Out of period order production
- Report Weekly: Production attainment by MRP/ PGI dates / Past Due / Pull-in’s & push outs/ Etc.
- Participate on customer calls on invitation from Fulfilment Planner
- Participate in plant DM’s
- Plant improvement:
- Participate in productivity & capacity improvement PSP’s
- Participate in PSI meetings as com-ops representative
- LT reduction/ changes
- Represent com-ops in Production Lines Moves
