The M80 Ring Road Alliance (comprising of MACA, Acciona and AECOM) has been selected to design and construct the M80 Ring Road Completion Project. We are seeking to appoint a Plant Inspector/Supervisor to join our team based in the northern suburbs of Melbourne in the Watsonia area. This position will be responsible for the inspection of Plant and Trucks, as well as the procurement, supervision and minor maintenance to ensure compliance of Plant on the project.
This package of works covers the design and construction of the North East Link between the M80 - Plenty Rd interchange, and the north tunnel entrance at Watsonia. Works include three kilometres of new freeway, two kilometres of freeway upgrades, construction of retaining walls and bridge structures, rail interface works, intelligent transport systems, and urban design and landscaping. This diverse and challenging project will be complete in 2028.

Responsibilities will include:
- Conduct timely plant and truck inspections
- Attend contractor sites and yards to complete the plant induction process and to carry out plant inductions on M80RR project sites
- Supervise plant and truck maintenance, ensuring preventative and breakdown maintenance is carried out in a timely manner
- Assist in the management of cost control for certain scopes of work and plant in general
- Assist construction team with knowledge and information around plant and plant compliance
We are looking for:
- A certificate in Mechanical Trade or comparable experience working with construction plant
- Previous experience in a plant maintenance role
- Ability to cope with competing demands and a fast-paced environment. A proactive and flexible approach and able to be relied upon
- Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability and self-confidence to liaise effectively with all levels of management and internal and external staff
- Experience with plant compliance code, Australian Standards and how to apply them to plant on a construction site
