Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Practical Legal Training (PLT) students to join our team as interns. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for aspiring lawyers to gain hands-on experience and practical insights into the legal profession. Interns will work closely with our Lawyers, paralegals, and support staff, contributing to a wide range of legal tasks and projects.
Key Responsibilities
· Legal Research: Conduct thorough and precise legal research on various matters and legal issues.
· Drafting Documents: Assist in drafting legal documents, including pleadings, affidavits, contracts, and correspondence etc.
· Case Management: Support the management of client files and case documentation, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
· Administrative Support: Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and organising legal documents.
· Team Collaboration: Collaborate with lawyers and support staff on various legal projects and firm initiatives.
Essential Qualifications
Education: Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Practical Legal Training (PLT) program.
Knowledge: Basic understanding of legal principles and procedures relevant to our practice areas.
Skills:
· Excellent research and analytical skills;
· Strong written and verbal communication skills;
· Attention to detail and high level of accuracy;
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team; and
· Proficiency in using legal research tools and software.
