Verge Legal is a boutique multidisciplinary law firm based in Melbourne. Our team comprises legal professionals from diverse backgrounds who practice in various areas of Australian law including litigation, property and commercial, family, wills & estates, and criminal law.
Position summary
We are seeking law students or graduates who wish to take on an internship or complete their Practical Legal Training (PLT) with us.
This is a volunteer unpaid position with an opportunity for the right candidate to be offered a full-time junior solicitor position upon completion of their internship.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Undertaking legal research.
- Preparing chronologies, reports and summaries.
- Reviewing documents and contracts.
- Fielding client enquiries and calls.
- Assisting in miscellaneous day-to-day administrative duties.
Selection criteria
- Ability to work in a team whilst being self-directed in their learning.
- Open to learning and be exposed to all areas of practice.
- Attendance in-person at our Melbourne CBD office is required for duration of PLT.
- Foreign language ability desirable but not required.
