The Opportunity:

Our client is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to progress, inspire and empower multicultural young people living in Australia. Their mission is to see every young person striving and living up to their unique potential in all areas of life.
The Role:
The Policy & Program Development Manager is responsible for building the capability of select programs, projects, and services within the organisation, which involves improving upon existing outcomes and securing new fee-for-service opportunities. The aim of this leadership role is to enable the organisation to provide solutions to existing social, educational, and health barriers impacting the lives of multicultural young people today.
The role will require you to:
- Lead, supervise and guide a dedicated team 4 staff members consisting of policy and evaluation professionals
- Build upon the capability of multiple programs across mental health, health, education and community sectors to improve outcomes
- Pitch to relevant stakeholders to secure fee-for-service opportunities
- Develop relevant policies and translate these into deliverable programs, services and or projects
- Use your influence to build relationships with external and internal stakeholders
- Oversee the delivery of programs and services
- Represent the organisation on a community level; networking with relevant industry partners
- Collaborate and share best practice processes with other managers within the wider organisation
The Candidate
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Previous experience, whether voluntary or by paid employment, with young people from CALD communities
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in areas of Social Work, Youth Work, Public Policy, Governance, Psychology or similar
- Experience in policy development and implementation
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Sound research skills
- Empathy for, and an understanding of, young people
- Experience developing and delivering community-based programs
The Offer:
A salary package of up to $120K inclusive of Superannuation is on offer (commensurate with experience) along with attractive NFP salary packaging. This role is currently being offered as a 3-year fixed term contract with the potential to extend to a permanent placement. The role is full time, but can also be offered on a 0.8 basis, if desired.
