Agency Overview

Infrastructure NSW is a NSW Government agency providing independent, evidence-based advice to Government in relation to infrastructure priorities and projects. Its functions and structure are set out in the Infrastructure NSW Act.

Our core functions include providing independent and strategic advice to ensure infrastructure investment decisions are underpinned by robust assessment and long-term planning; monitoring NSW's infrastructure program through independent reviews and expert analysis; recommending infrastructure projects to the NSW Treasurer for funding from the Restart NSW fund; and managing the procurement and delivery of nominated priority projects.

We embrace diversity, welcome innovation and forge lasting relationships based on a common interest in making NSW the best it can be. We're small and nimble - and our impact is mighty!

About the Role

This is a critical time for this appointment. With the Government's current investment portfolio of over 700 projects, many of which are in delivery phase, the NSW Government is delivering the biggest infrastructure program in Australian history. With increasing expectations of Government to take a portfolio-wide view, this role will be highly attractive to candidates who are interested in leading the identification, analysis and delivery of whole of NSW Government opportunities and reforms.

Reporting to the Director - Portfolio Performance and Reforms, the Portfolio Performance Manager will be responsible for the ongoing analysis of the performance of the State project portfolio, leveraging data and information collated through INSW's assurance activities to identify key trends and drivers or risk and to design strategies to mitigate. This is a critical role which will support us with our portfolio wide advice to Cabinet and lead the Trends and Analysis work for INSW, a signature product.
If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you. For more information, please refer to the role description.

About You

You are comfortable defining key performance metrics and are a driver of continuous improvement. You are an influencer and great communicator, able to bring people together from different background and with different objectives, to leverage government-wide initiatives to achieve quick-wins.

You will have significant infrastructure industry experience covering most stages of the infrastructure lifecycle or experience working in project risk control and / or project assurance. You are able to identify and drive policy change and reform initiatives with demonstrated ability to bridge the business and analytics disciplines and present outcomes with impact. You have practical expertise in complex research, structured problem solving, analysis and advanced report writing.

We are looking for a very hands-on, experienced, change agent, to give them the opportunity to positively impact every citizen in the state of New South Wales. If this sounds like you, then please review the role description and apply using the below.
