COMPANY
This is a smart and rapidly growing organization attracting the best talent in Adelaide. They are seeking a highly skilled Ports and Logistics Consultant to join their team of management and software professionals.
ROLE
As an experienced Terminal operations Consultant you will have a strong professional background and be able to work independently to deliver world-class services to our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for building strong relationships with clients, managing projects independently, and guiding and organizing teams to achieve positive business outcomes. You will determine operational feasibility by identifying problems, evaluating business needs/requirements, solution development, presenting proposed solutions through documents and presentations, and providing port software configuration services for typical operational systems (TOS, GOS, VBS).
YOU
Advise clients on planning and design proposals for terminals and operational processes.
Analyze, and document processes and solutions using various tools such as flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, and charts.
Improve client operational productivity by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes to policies and procedures.
Assist clients with stakeholder contract management.
Develop Standard Operating Procedures & Business Process Mapping for terminal operations.
Define software solutions by reviewing operational requirements, collaborating with users & stakeholders, and understanding systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
Design integration strategies for automation.
Manage and provide quality assurance and integration testing services.
Provide operational training services.
Serve as a technical advisor for capacity, port planning, and operational mode changes.
Mentor junior consultants & customers.
The ideal candidate should have at least 10 years of combined experience in the following areas:
Logistics, maritime port operations, or shipping industry.
Configuration, training, and knowledge of Container Terminal Operational Systems.
Knowledge and experience in the latest terminal, vessel, yard planning, transport, and control systems.
Manual and automated terminals experience.
Documenting and mapping systems and processes.
Knowledge of Department of Home Affairs (Border Force) terminal regulations & compliance requirements.
International experience is preferred but not essential.
A proven track record in the delivery of terminal systems, automation, and operational practices aligned with Enterprise Awards (FWC)
