Alcon is seeking Practice Experience District Sales Managers (PXDM) to join our Vision Care Sales team. The PXDM will lead Practice Experience Managers (PXMs) and develop a high-performance team culture to drive consistent, strategic execution.

This this position will coach PXMs to consultatively sell to Eye Care Practitioners (ECPs) and achieve mutually aligned and developed goals for growth. Focus areas for this position include leading through effective coaching, inspiring, collaborating, and strategic execution of Alcon key priorities to deliver innovation and value-added solutions to Eye Care Professionals. As a Practice Experience District Manager, you will be able to:

  • Hire, develop, inspire, coach and train PXMs to meet or exceed Alcon’s sales, financial and territory management objectives
  • Strengthen your team through coaching conversations during co-travels and business reviews, training, and on-boarding activities
  • Proactively collaborate with Account Manager District Managers to align the PXMs and Account Managers (AMs) on the top priority accounts to drive adoption of innovation and value-added offerings
  • Drive sales results through your knowledge of the market, customers, competitors and Alcon product, consultative sales skills, and prioritization of activities
  • Ability to be agile and manage through change in a fast-moving enviornment
  • Deliver and pull through strategic initiatives with customers intended to successfully grow Alcon market share and the MARLO footprint
  • Increase performance results by applying data insights from sales tools and feedback from customers and participating in field co-travels
  • Assess the talent landscape and champion growth and development via performance assessments and career discussions
  • Lead PXM specific projects intended to streamline execution and continue to build a culture of performance
  • Mentor and assist team members to build and implement a strategic plan for their territory to capitalize on revenue and market share growth from the highest potential customers
  • Work with other Alcon team members (Strategic Accounts, Marketing, Pricing, etc.) to identify and capitalize on opportunities from the largest customers in specific markets and opportunity targets.
  • Lead in District/Regional/National meetings
Key Performance Indicators:
  • Attainment of quarterly and annual sales quotas for assigned District
  • Call metrics to drive results in targeted accounts
  • Strategic planning
  • Compliance to regulations
Travel Requirements: Up to 60%

Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 yrs; Assoc.+9 yrs; M.S.+2 yrs;

PhD+1 yr)

The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English

5 Years of Relevant Experience

3 Years of Demonstrated Leadership

Preferred 5 years related selling experience in medical device, medical, healthcare, vision care, or business to business sales
