The Role
Our new Practice Manager will:
- Manage day to day operations and ensure the successful and effective running of the practice
- Prioritise communication, efficiency and accountability
- Inspire the team in providing the highest quality care to the community
- Enjoy a multitasking day and a diverse working week
- Harness the potential of this well established GP clinic and drive future growth
Tasks and responsibilities include:
o Manage the reception team workflow, lead and support them to manage patient appointments, greet clients, take rebookings and payments
o Appointment scheduling
o Billing procedures
o Debt Collections
o Maintenance and security
o Privacy and quality controls of patient files and notes
o Engagement and management of third parties
o Support Management team with reporting and ad hoc tasks
o Create and support a harmonious, cheerful and engaging practice environment
o Ensure all staff, patients and visitors follow Covid-19 health regulations
o Support and assist practitioners with:
- Diary changes and client management
- Manage client waitlists
- Telehealth appointments and platforms
- Ensure treatment rooms are fully equipped daily.
- Manage all nursing support and workflows
- Maintaining and ensuring accreditation standards
The successful applicant will have:
- Prior experience in medical practice management (essential)
- Demonstrated people management skills and experience with recruitment and staff training and development
- A thorough understanding of financial management of a medical business, including Medicare rebates
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and strong attention to detail
- A confident and professional approach to dealing with matters arising
- Experience of Practice Accreditation
- Ability to identify marketing and promotional ideas to enhance the service provided to patients
- Knowledge of Best Practice would be advantageous
