About the Role
- Assist Account Managers with sales efforts, including developing client proposals, delivering sales presentations to clients, and responding to RFPs.
- Proactively scope technical solutions and products required to address client needs.
- Identify additional business opportunities within clients and collaborate with Account Managers to ensure leads are pursued.
- Secure input from all necessary solution stakeholders to ensure proposed solution matches the client requirements
- Develop and scope customer solutions by working with Account Managers where a clear scope is absent.
- Undertake the technical design of solutions based on customer briefings.
- Provide in-depth advice and insight into solution offering throughout the design process.
- Partner with National Account Management and Operations teams to ensure all project scopes are clear and priced.
- Work with the Sales and Marketing and Program/Project Management teams to develop and maintain standardised quoting documentation.
- Work with the Operations team to obtain pricing of defined scopes and to enhance overall project profitability.
- Coach and mentor National Account Managers, Program/Project Managers, and the broader team to enhance product/solution knowledge and technical skills.
- Partner with Program/Project Managers and Account Managers to coordinate the transition between pre-sales specifications and project implementation.
- Contribute to the effectiveness of the HSEQ systems to ensure compliance, ongoing improvement, and customer focus throughout day-to-day work.
- Tertiary qualifications (including trades) in Electrotechnology, Communications, or Engineering.
- Pre-sales or Sales background (desirable).
- Extensive experience in the Data Communication industry.
- Experience in the Data Centre Infrastructure and knowledge of structured cabling are advantageous.
- Strong commercial acumen with an ability to work across and with multidisciplinary teams to support complex project implementation.
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to understand complex information.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders with competing priorities towards the desired outcome.
- A strong command of project management and MS office products.
- Self-motivated, persuasive, and passionate influencer who can successfully manage a broad group of stakeholders.
- Results-oriented and self-driver/motivated
- Ability to develop rapport quickly with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Initiative to find and resolve problems
- Confident communicator with a capacity to tailor messages with confidence to differing audiences.
