Presales Solutions Architect - Managed Services

As the Presales Specialist in Managed Services, you play a pivotal role in our organisation, acting as a trusted technical advisor to our customers and prospects. This position is responsible for understanding client needs, designing tailored Managed Services solutions, and collaborating closely with the sales team to ensure the successful acquisition of new business. The ideal candidate will have a deep technical understanding of cloud technologies and the ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and compelling manner.

Technical Consultation:

• Engage with potential clients to understand their technical requirements, challenges, and business objectives.
• Provide expert guidance and consultancy on the most suitable Managed Services to address client needs.
• Collaborate with the sales team to align technical / service offerings with customer requirements.

Solution Design:
- Understand customer’s business challenges and opportunities and derive technical solutions to address them.
- Create customised technical proposals and solutions that address the specific needs of each customer.
- Develop detailed architecture diagrams, cost estimates, and implementation plans.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging cloud technologies to propose innovative solutions.

Product Knowledge:
- Maintain a deep understanding of our Managed Services & Consulting service catalogue and stay current with updates and advancements.
- Articulate the benefits and value propositions of our services to customers.
- Provide market feedback to assist in continual product / service development.

Demonstrations and Presentations:
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the functionality and benefits of our solutions.
- Address technical inquiries and concerns during client meetings.

Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Product Development, and Support, to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Participate in knowledge sharing and training sessions to enhance team expertise.
- Assist marketing to develop go to market materials and marketing campaigns.

Documentation:
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including solution architectures, implementation guides, and case studies.
- Assist in the creation of RFPs and RFIs.
 

Qualifications:
- Experience in large and complex RFP responses, solution design, ability to articulate the value proposition of an overall solution 
- Deep knowledge of the AWS cloud platform, additionally knowledge in Azure, or Google Cloud a bonus.
- Proven experience and ability to own the preparation of sales presentations, proposals, documents and artefacts 
- Familiarity with cloud-native services, DevOps practices, and containerization technologies.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to design innovative solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.
