Preschool Centre Manager

We are seeking an experienced preschool centre manager to oversee the opening of a new childcare centre in the Melbourne region of Victoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up the rooms and teams, managing the day-to-day operations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the setup of the preschool / kindergarten, including designing the layout of the rooms and selecting appropriate equipment and materials.
• Recruit and manage a team of childcare professionals, including educators, assistants, and administrative staff.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the smooth running of the centre and compliance with regulations.
• Manage the budget, including forecasting expenses and revenue, and monitoring financial performance.
• Foster positive relationships with parents and the wider community, including attending community events and marketing the centre's services.
• Ensure the health and safety of all children and staff, including maintaining appropriate records and reporting incidents.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a childcare centre management role, with a proven track record of successfully opening and managing a new centre.
• In-depth knowledge of Victorian childcare regulations, including experience in making applications for centre licenses.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• A passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing high-quality care and learning experiences for children.
• A relevant qualification in early childhood education or a related field.
