About the role
The Rostering Officer, with reference to the Manager Senior Medical Contracts, will be required to make decisions relating to the daily management of the Junior Medical Staff workforce with regards to rostering and allocations to ensure safe delivery of services.
The Medical Workforce team works closely with the hiring manager and the Recruitment Team when doctors are being recruited. The Medical Workforce team can provide specialist advice and assistance relating to recruitment, remuneration, contracts and credentialing for medical roles.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of administrative support utilising contemporary office equipment and software packages. This includes the ability to plan, meet deadlines and prioritise workloads whilst working autonomously and to be flexible in a changing team work environment.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and to effectively interact with all levels of staff and from diverse backgrounds, members of the public and private sector using tact, diplomacy and discretion.
- Demonstrated high level of word processing skills and knowledge of Microsoft software applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and other hospital information systems, to produce effective work output in terms of both quality and quantity.
- Demonstrated high level of skills and knowledge of Core Schedule
- Demonstrated organisation skills and ability to organise the unit with a high level of independence and to act innovatively, resourcefully and meet deadlines and commitments and possess a logical proactive approach to achieve strategic goals.
