About the role:
This is an opportunity for either an experienced manager or leader to develop a team of highly motivated community health care professionals. Or for a novice manager and leader to develop management and leadership skills and manage this team. The successful applicant will be involved with the new Health One development and be able to make influence the future direction of Primary and Community healthcare in the Canowindra and Eugowra area.

Where you’ll be working:
Canowindra Health Service provides acute and sub-acute in-patient services alongside emergency and a variety of Allied health out-patient presentations and community nursing.

Eugowra MPS provides residential aged care beds, a Walk In Health Centre and community nursing and physiotherapy services. This position manages the Allied Health staff and Community Health Nursing staff at both Canowindra and Eugowra.

Canowindra and Eugowra are rural towns in the scenic Central West of NSW. Canowindra is located 45 minutes from the major rural city of Orange and 25 minutes from the town of Cowra. Canowindra is a thriving small country town rich in history and culture. The Canowindra cultural and community scene hosts an annual hot air balloon festival, local boutique wineries and local food producers. Canowindra has a population of around 2400 residents.

Eugowra is located 1 hour from Orange and 30 minutes from the growing regional towns of Canowindra, Parkes and Forbes. Steeped in local history Eugowra is famous for its Bush ranger history including the famous hold up at ‘escort rock’ where Frank Gardiner and his gang of bushrangers pulled off the biggest gold robbery in Australian history. Eugowra is also well known for its murals and access to Nangar national park and all of its walking trails and dramatic escarpments.
