About the position
- You will be responsible for management of the Application Services Section. You will manage an extensive application portfolio, including exercising responsibility for the management of the application lifecycle and a portfolio of Operational and Capital IT projects. The objectives of the Section are to manage and deliver highly reliable corporate information systems and to actively assist in ensuring services are effectively managed to meet current and future needs whilst providing maximum value for money within the constraints of the approved budget.
- The salary range for this position is $107,558.60 - $121,387.53 gross per annum, plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation.
- This is a permanent full time position based in the Toowoomba CBD.
You will need: * The mandatory qualification(s), training and/or experience, as outlined under the 'Success Criteria' in the Position Description (attached).
- Proven ability to manage a work area to achieve desired outcomes within the organisational goals, objectives and strategies.
- Proven project and portfolio management skills with an understanding of technical implementations.
- Proven ability to manage customer requirements/expectations and ensure services are met.
- Excellent stakeholder and change management skills to support project and change initiatives.
- Ability to negotiate outcomes on matters of complexity on behalf of the Branch to achieve business outcomes.
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of governance, risk, service currency, and legislation applicable to the Section.
- Applications architecture and design, integration, data and analytics.
- Proven ability to manage the delivery of strategic plans and operational initiatives to meet organisational goals and objectives.
- Understanding of and commitment to Council’s Organisational Value and Behaviour of Teamwork.
