You will be a key representative for the Get Ready Queensland team for the purposes of collaboration and consultation with internal and external partners, suppliers and stakeholders.
- Reporting to the Manager, Stakeholder Engagement, design and deliver communications and engagement campaigns from inception to approval, implementation and evaluation.
- Lead and undertake multiple-audience or broad-scope stakeholder analytics and audience segmentation research. Apply research findings to contribute to the strategic planning and evaluation of communication and engagement strategies and programs.
- Develop communication and engagement products such as marketing materials, website information, presentations, newsletter content, news articles, factsheets, and other materials that are in line with the engagement strategy and the Authority's communication and engagement requirements.
- Draw on respected and tested communication models addressing a wide range of communication activities including but not limited to public and stakeholder education about disaster risk awareness, preparation and shared responsibility.
- As applicable, maintain knowledge of trends in community discourse, social media, news media discussions, and provide timely advice about emerging issues and opportunities and on this basis prepare appropriate strategies for management.
- Lead stakeholder engagement activities.
- Under limited direction, negotiate and communicate with designated stakeholder groups on behalf of the Queensland Reconstruction Authority within department guidelines.
- This role may be required to travel within Queensland on occasion to meet with stakeholders and to facilitate or attend events.
- Opportunities to travel post disaster events may be required to support QRA response and recovery operations.

It is a condition of this role that the successful candidate holds a current Working with Children Check clearance (Blue Card) issued by Blue Card Services or has the ability to obtain clearance before commencing duty.
