The Principal Consultant/Implementation Specialist: Enterprise Applications has expertise in more than one complex enterprise applications such as SAP, Microsoft, etc. This position has functional skills in cross functional areas and enabling technologies. This position is responsible for identifying areas of improvement in the functionality of the installed enterprise applications and/or systems. The individual in this role plans, designs and implements the assigned enterprise applications and/or systems. The individual will be required to take ownership of all the tasks defined by the project, gathering facts, analysing client requirements and designing solutions that demonstrate the functionality to support the findings. He/she will manage large engagements and assist with a portion of smaller engagements when required.

Responsible for setup and installation of technical systems, applications, or process designs for client’s purchased or outsourced technology and business process solutions. Works directly with client to manage initial access, map and transfer data, create process documentation, and train or coordinate training for client users. Tests and troubleshoots functionality of installed systems; identifies and documents technical issues to be escalated to product and system integration teams for resolution. Provides feedback based on client experiences to product and professional services teams for product and process improvements. May work directly with clients on-site or provide installation support remotely.

• Provides guidance, oversight and shares knowledge gained on technical or functional skills, consulting skills and business experience with team on projects and internally.
• Perform project defined tasks and drives issues to closure.
• Gather facts, analyse client business requirements and translates these opportunities into solutions.
• Takes ownership of design of the solution and demonstrate functional to support the findings.
• Oversee all documentation and administrative tasks in line with the PMO templates and standards.
• Guides and oversees the preparation of business process procedures, test scenarios, end-user documentation and user manuals.
• Review highlighted potential project or solution risks and issues to team leads/project management and recommend resolutions.
• Assist clients with audit requirements and facilitates testing and sign-off workshops.
• Lead meetings/ task groups, tracking and influencing task group progress and project delivery as well as delivering progress reports.
• Oversee all project activities for the assigned areas.
• Takes ownership of the process design and configuration workshops with the client.
• Review the results of test scenarios related to the business processes and complete functional testing, application configuration and data migration duties.
• Identify areas of improvement by testing and troubleshooting the functionality of installed systems.
• Assist in the development and implementation of a complex project.
• Anticipate potential complex obstacles and impact on the accomplishment of goals and timelines.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

• Degree
• Enterprise application specific certifications preferred
• Certification in one functional area of application

Required Experience:

• Significant experience working Enterprise Applications Consultant in one or more applications (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, etc)
• Solid experience work across project lifecycles from scoping to post go-live
• Demonstrated experienced in providing technical guidance for the planning, design implementation of enterprise applications
• Client engagement experience
