About the role:
An exciting pipeline of opportunities requires the expansion of our team throughout Australia, based out of our Brisbane office. You will join and provide leadership in a high-performing consulting and EPC team that works across Asia Pacific and our global offices. You will work closely with engineering and technical disciplines on large multi-disciplinary projects and support clients to deliver the energy transition, including concept and feasibility studies, front-end engineering, and construction environmental management. This role will balance commercial, business development and technical work and reward you for your experience in delivery high quality outcomes for our customers.
Your responsibilities:
You would be expected to liaise with our other technical groups within Kent Oil & Gas APAC, as well as our established teams in the UK and Houston to provide high quality solutions to the client.
Deliver high performance environment and approvals consultancy for our customers and JV partners.
Provide innovative solutions to complex problems.
Manage the delivery of quality studies and outcomes for our customers from start to completion.
Maintain relationships with existing customers and develop new business opportunities.
Manage commercial relationships with key subconsultants and subcontractors to deliver quality services for customers.
Provide temporary / short-term backfill for Field Environmental Managers and other senior staff.
Continue to develop client, technical and project management skills to help build and develop the Kent business.
Supervise and support nominated staff and teams.
Perform all work in accordance with the Kent Quality Management and Health, Safety & Security System and within agreed time and schedule constraints.
Focus on the further development of the Kent brand and client base.
Qualification/Skills Requirement:
Relevant Degree (Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science, or similar discipline)
You are motivated to support the energy industry successfully develop existing assets and energy transition investments.
20+ years’ experience in the resources and energy sector as environmental engineer, consultant, or advisor.
You can apply your skills throughout Australia and SE Asia but predominantly Queensland and NSW.
Communicate with new and established customers, present information and facilitate meetings and outcomes.
Exposure to capital projects in Concept, FEED, Detailed Design or Construction phases.
Experience managing environmental impact assessments, approvals or permits.
Experience in the identification and calculation of facility emissions, wastes and discharges.
Identify and assess technology solutions for pollution control and environmental risk reduction.
Capability to deliver reports such as ALARP Demonstration, Hazard Registers, Approvals Registers, and Philosophies.
Supervise and mentor staff as required.
You have the required skills to cost proposals, coordinate & deliver quality outcomes for customers.
Capacity to solve problems and positively identify practical solutions.
Communication and negotiation skills with agencies and stakeholders.
Your fundamental understanding of approvals frameworks can be applied to any of our Australian and global customers.
Significant experience with Queensland and Australian environment, planning and sustainability legislation.
