Principal Environmental Scientist - Melbourne - Key 5 Year Project

This is an excellent opportunity for a Principal Environmental Scientist to join a specialist environmental consultancy based in Melbourne.

This is a key leadership role that will have you directing a brand new 5 year remediation project with a key client in Melbourne.

The contaminated land team is 30 strong with a good workload across Victoria and around Australia. Key sectors include industrial, petroleum and construction.

You will be reporting directly with the Managing Director and will have a wider role across the company including:

• Technical review and auditing (soil, groundwater, soil vapour, air, sediment and surface water)
• Training and developing consultants across the contaminated land team
• Project leadership and management
• Client management (one of the most important criteria)
• Technical report writing to exceptional standards

You will need:

• 15-20 + years of experience as an Environmental Scientist / Engineer
• A relevant science or engineering degree
• The ability to work unrestricted in Australia
• Excelllent knowledge of EPA and Victoria legislation
• Consulting experience is a bonus but not mandatory

You will receive:

• A salary between $180-220k inclusive of superannuation
• WFH and flexbility
• The ability to have an overarching leadership role in a growing CLM team and work directly with the MD to shape the company
