The Role
The Principal Policy Consultant is responsible for undertaking research and statistical analyses of the Department’s internal data and relevant external data to support the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of vocational education and training (VET) fee and funding policies. The position conducts in-depth research and analysis of training and workforce development issues, comparative systems, and market responses to policy settings to inform policy responses and advice.

To be successful in this role you will ideally have experience in the development of evidence-based policy in a government setting and possess relevant tertiary qualifications. Experience in managing datasets using a statistical package is highly desirable.
