The Principal Practice Leader leads a small team and undertakes a range of innovative projects and duties that contribute to the implementation of the Complex Needs Project, comprising of several initiatives delivered across the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (the department) and the Department of Health.
This role assists the Victorian Senior Practitioner in leading evidence-based practice and collaborates with service providers and relevant professionals to build and support workforce capability and ensure continuing positive outcomes for people with complex needs. The role will also provide practice leadership and advice across the department's complex needs responses.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

- Provide expert advice and drive practice improvement across the department's complex needs teams including the Multiple and Complex Needs Initiative, Support for High-Risk Tenancies, Forensic Disability, Serious Offender Coordination and Assertive Outreach and Support.
- Ensure consistent and effective responses to people with complex needs by building and supporting workforce capability.
- Provide secondary consultation, attend case conferences and give direction to service provider when needed.
