Hays Energy have partnered with one of the market leaders in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction of a wide range of liquid gas projects. They specialise in anything from Ammonia and Hydrogen, Oil refining, Gas processing and unique pilot scale demonstration projects. This reputable company is based in the northern suburbs of Melbourne with the flexible option of working from home when needed. They assist their clients with the full project lifecycle and enjoy visiting their clients on site to see the fruits of the labour.
Your new role
Your new roles as a Principal Process Engineer you will be based in their office in the outer northern suburbs of Melbourne with easy access to anyone who is located in the West, North, or North Eastern suburbs. This role is best suited for an individual who has extensive technical knowledge and is looking to step up and lead the team of Process Engineers. Since this company is providing the services for the full project life cycle, the successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the project from designing, manufacturing, installing, commissioning, and documenting. The Principal Process Engineer will also be expected, as required, to review and or provide process capabilities for the proposals team, to assist in the preparation of tenders and proposals outside of committed project work. You will be required to produce high quality project/process engineering deliverables, such as process datasheets, process descriptions, heat and mass balances, PFDs, P&IDs, and much more.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a certified CPEng and hold a bachelor's degree (or higher) in Chemical or Process Engineering
A minimum of 15 years' experience working in an engineering capacity within the Oil & Gas, Chemicals Manufacturing or Minerals Processing/Metallurgical industries.
Experience in natural gas, food grade CO2 and hydrogen processing will be highly regarded.
Have an advanced knowledge of Aspen Plus and Aspen HYSYS, or similar chemical engineering software. Experience in natural gas, food grade CO2 and hydrogen processing will be highly regarded.
Demonstrable knowledge in the design, fabrication and operation of process equipment, in relation to chemical reactors, heat/mass transfer and gas/liquid separation equipment will be highly regarded
