Job description

The role: As a Principal Systems Integrator, you will be required to utilise your skills and abilities to mentor a small technical team.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Providing advanced expert technical advice and guidance for multiple cross platform systems, applications deployment, systems integration, acceptance testing and applications support.
  • Investigating and resolving problems within a complex integration environment that utilizes a variety of interfacing technologies (e.g. HL7 messaging, SOAP/REST APIs, Databases, etc.).
  • Maintaining an efficient and secure operational environment by consulting, advising and providing system design, product installation and operational support.
Are you right for this role?You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following knowledge and experience:

  • Technical skills and the ability to provide expert technical direction, standardisation and support of the enterprise infrastructure (HL7, Java, JCAPS, Rhapsody) (SFIA Code: ASUP 5).
  • Expert ability to analyse IT system issues and successfully implement solutions (SFIA Code: PBMG 5).
  • Demonstrated experience or knowledge of scripting technologies (Python/BASH) (SFIA: PROG Level 3).
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with key internal project stakeholders in order to deliver the required healthcare outcomes (SFIA: RLMT Level 5).
  • Demonstrated experience with the ITIL methodology and processes (SFIA: METL Level 5).
  • Ability to develop, implement and ensure compliance to technical policies, standards and procedures at an enterprise level (SFIA Code: ISCO 6).
  • Working knowledge of project management methodologies (Prince 2) (SFIA Code: METL 4).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a small team (NHS: Collaborative Working).
