SalaryWe're looking for an ambitious and dynamic individual to join our Wynyard Site, where we make a range of award-winning cheese and powder products for both the domestic and export markets. You will receive the opportunity to learn and experience the production and packing processes both hands on and through formal training.
Your Purpose
The Process Lead is responsible for the stable, effective and efficient running of production or packaging processes ensuring staff and equipment are operating to meet or exceed agreed customer specifications, budgets, environmental and health and safety requirements.
As the Process owner you will identify and eliminate process losses occurring along the process and packing lines by utilising the Integrated Work System (IWS) model at Fonterra.
Your main responsibilities will include:
· Determine running set points and lead the most effective process
· Understand the critical nature of assets and support activities to improve asset management, resources, utilities, and services within the plant
· Monitor resource use and process operation efficiency to ensure waste (time, materials, excess inventory, money, labour) is minimised
· Contribute actively towards the success of IWS
· Ensure we meet compliance, regulations, and food safety requirements

You will ideally bring to the role:
· Experience in management within the food industry
· Experience in leading continuous improvement initiatives
· Proven experience in a technical, plant or manufacturing process environment
· A flexible and can-do attitude
· The experience and ability to make decisions on the fly and manage multiple tasks
