The Role
ALS is seeking enthusiastic Technicians to join our metallurgical services business based in Balcatta, Perth WA. You will be a full-time casual employee, reporting to the Area Supervisor your responsibilities as a team member, will be to perform metallurgical testwork procedures safely and successfully to meet the expectations of our clients.
These are not FIFO mine site positions. All training will be provided.
- People with exposure to mine site testwork would make ideal candidates for this role.
- Knowledge of mineral processing or equipment operation would be very beneficial but not essential.
- Candidates with good mechanical aptitude would be highly desirable.
Applicants will be based in the Balcatta laboratory, typical duties include:
- Supporting the Area Supervisor and Team leaders, you will assist in performing bench testwork procedures.
- Involved in sample preparation process procedure
- Follow procedures to complete test work to a high safety standard.
- Accurate record keeping, capturing, and processing control samples.
- Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in the workplace.
Successful candidates will possess the following skills and abilities:
- Good communication, organisational and time management skills.
- Great attention to detail and be highly motivated.
- Ability to undertake Shift work as required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical fitness with the ability to perform manual handling tasks.
- Good literacy, numeracy, and computer skills.
