As part of ongoing company growth, the Northeast Auto Group have a rare opportunity to join and guide our Procurement Team as a Procurement and Sourcing Manager at our head of operations based in Burton, South Australia.

The Northeast Auto Group is quickly becoming the largest seller of trucks in South Australia. We deliver a full-service experience to the industry through our multiple business units to provide the best service and solutions to our customers. Our group comprises of an Engineering and Manufacturing division, Parts, Service and repair centre, Agricultural and Construction equipment solutions, Iveco, Isuzu and other franchises.
The Role:
The Procurement and Sourcing Manager will be responsible for ensuring full accountability of all procurement activities and managing procurement staff and processes as well as supplier relationships.
Along with this, as the successful applicant, you will be responsible for:
- Positively partnering with internal and external stakeholders to build and maintain relationships;
- Accountable for driving effective procurement practices with the goal of meeting business requirements for supply, quality, service, cost, innovation whilst maintaining regulatory compliance.
- Ensuring Management receive regular, accurate and insightful reporting with recommendations to improve the bottom line;
- Automating, streamlining systems and processes to deliver greater efficiency and making value ad improvements to the supply chain process.
- Collaborating with management to review high value contracts;
- Leading negotiation on contract terms and conditions;
- Identifying and implementing effective risk management strategies to maintain supply continuity;
- The procurement of goods/services, developing strategy, negotiate and implementing supply agreements in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Prepare, contracts, tenders and service level agreements (SLA’s).
- Monitor performance of suppliers and conduct supplier management reviews as appropriate.
- Support, drive and coordinate procurement from other regions both domestic and international.
- Fulfil aligned globally contracts where applicable.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a purchasing/procurement management role (essential);
- Demonstrated experience in contract administration, contract management and supplier relationship management in a medium/large sized company (essential);
- A good understanding of Work Health and Safety obligations (essential);
- Well-developed skills in commercial acumen, negotiation, influencing and problem solving (essential);
- Demonstrated experience in a similar industry or environment (essential);
- A current drivers licence (essential);
- Sound knowledge of contract requirements and components, including contract negotiations; (essential);
- Excellent communication skills.
