This Council’s Procurement function is one of the largest of its kind servicing a thriving local council remit and a range of exciting local major infrastructure projects. They are looking to engage an ICT procurement category specialist to join the team.
Your new role
Joining the Corporate Procurement team as a Category Specialist, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of procurement categories and leading the delivery of planning, sourcing, tendering, contract development and management services for that portfolio of procurement categories. Your role will focus on Indirects Procurement so experience in one of these specialist areas such as ICT or Goods and Services would be highly desirable.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will possess substantial knowledge and experience in procurement source to contract activities. Ideally you will have worked in a public sector Procurement function, however candidates with strong Indirect category experience will also be considered. Strong interpersonal communication skills including consultation, advocacy, influence and conflict resolution are critical to success in this role. CIPS qualifications and QITC framework experience will greatly help progress your application.
