As the Procurement and Contract Administration Officer you will manage procurement and contract related reporting, delivery of less complex procurement projects and manage a range of end-to-end purchasing functions. You will also liaise with a variety of stakeholders in providing contract administration support, guidance to business areas and supplier relationship management.
Highly Desirable Requirements/ Special Conditions
Although not mandatory, the following will be highly regarded:
- a qualification in Purchasing or Procurement (or similar) would be advantageous.
- a minimum 1-2 years' experience in a similar role.
- an interest in the Procurement, Contract Management and or Governance function/s; and
- experience in one or both of Government and/or private sector procurement.
You are accountable for providing support and assistance to achieve organisational outcomes through optimal strategies and practices to support the Procurement Services Team by:
- Undertaking less complex procurement projects including initial planning, development of documentation and establishment of contracts, ensuring compliance with Queensland Procurement Policy, achievement of desired business area outcomes and delivery of value for money; for review by the Senior Procurement and Contracts Officers.
- Analysing minor complex matters including identifying and assessing options and recommending strategies to resolve issues across purchasing, procurement, contract management and/or administration functions to support the Procurement Services Team.
- Preparing reports, correspondence, and submissions to key stakeholders and clients.
- Contributing to negotiations with suppliers and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to assist in achieving operational and strategic outcomes.
- Liaising with internal stakeholders across a variety of business areas to determine requirements and progress of less complex procurement projects, activities and workloads, and external stakeholders and suppliers for the conduct of less complex procurement projects, activities, workloads, and contract administration activities.
- Developing, maintaining and monitoring relationships with internal clients and external suppliers for the purpose of achieving and sustaining customer satisfaction and value for money. • Contributing to the development of governance material, processes, tender material, and local desktop guides related to the application of the Procurement Management Framework and services delivered.
