This position is responsible for the Procurement supervision and management of indirect spend categories for Ramsay Health Care Australia, including catering, travel, fleet, facilities management, chemicals, waste, stationery, uniforms, and furniture.

An experienced procurement manager, you will lead strategic sourcing activities through to implementation, developing category strategies and unlocking value from suppliers through active supplier management. You will create value through efficient gains and innovation opportunities.

You will have the opportunity to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders across the business to identify priorities and drive value initiatives.

To be successful in this role you will need the following skills/abilities:

• Minimum 5 years procurement experience in indirect spend categories (ideally covering one or more of the following categories: catering, travel, fleet, facilities management, chemicals, waste, stationery, uniforms, and furniture).

• Tertiary qualifications in engineering, business, accounting, finance, logistics, supply chain management, contract law or a related discipline

• Proven understanding of procurement methodologies and approaches
• Good knowledge of contractual agreements and relationship management

• An understanding/experience of the private healthcare sector
• Highly developed analytical, evaluation and research skills including demonstrated ability to implement new concepts and deliver positive, innovative solutions and savings
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate high value and/or complex agreements.
• Problem solving and lateral thinking
• Team player with the ability to work autonomously
• Focus on delivering quantifiable results
• Computer skills- experienced in Microsoft Office product suite and SAP ideal
