One of Australia’s prominent Federal Government Departments is looking to engage an experienced Procurement Officer to handle a significant uplift in their service delivery. The Procurement Officer will embody this culture, support the positive maintenance of the culture within their specific team and be an advocate for the continued maintenance of that culture. The successful Procurement Officer will be offered an initial contract to 30 June 2023 along with a 12 month extension option partnered with a rewarding hourly rate.
The successful Procurement Officer will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Managing the onboarding process for new employees inclusive of vendors
- Maintaining relevant databases, spreadsheets and activity tracking documentation
- Working closely with Procurement colleagues to ensure a streamlined and efficient management of candidate engagement activities
- Contributing to the development of process flows and process improvement initiatives
The successful Procurement Officer will have experience in the following:
- Proven ability to act with discretion and integrity in managing sensitive and confidential information
- Customer Service focused approach to liaising with relevant stakeholders
- Knowledge and experience in successfully setting priorities and delivering quality results on time
- Well-developed organisational skills with an ability proactively approach responsibilities
