This NSW Government agency is looking for a Procurement Specialist to come in for a 11 month contract. This position is based out of Sydney CBD, 3 days in the office, 2 days from home.
About the role
- Craft tailored strategies for tendering, quotations, and Expression of Interests to meet objectives and ensure successful outcomes.
- Scrutinise contract documents and specifications for cost-effectiveness and value, optimizing contractor engagements.
- Conduct comprehensive market research to inform decision-making, enhancing tender and quotation strategies.
- Lead evaluations to ensure proposals deliver value, guiding panel members through decisions.
- Coordinate negotiations with contractors for best value outcomes, optimising investments.
- Drive continuous improvement by recommending process enhancements, fostering excellence and responsiveness while safeguarding confidentiality and navigating conflicts adeptly.
- Proficient in maintaining confidentiality and securely handling sensitive information.
- Skilled in conflict resolution and negotiation, particularly within procurement contexts.
- Demonstrates expertise in risk management, compliance, and innovative solutions for legislative requirements.
- Provides strategic guidance in tender development to align with organizational objectives.
- Conducts meticulous review of contract documents to optimize efficiency and value in contractor engagements.
- Possesses qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience, along with professional accreditation such as CIPS, to ensure procurement proficiency.
