Here at Mars Petcare, we have an amazing opportunity for an experienced Product Development & Deployment PDD Technologist to join the team based in Wodonga.
This role is integral to the team and requires someone with a passion for developing great products that deliver on consumer expectations.
This is a true Product Development role with an already inspiring and committed R&D team.
This is a role where you can use your food science, nutrition, formulation and technical knowledge in helping produce some of Australia’s best-known high quality Petcare products.
What would be your key responsibilities?
- Identify and communicate innovation opportunities based on internal and external insights
- Work closely with marketing and insights teams locally and with affiliate markets to define and design innovative product that meet consumer expectations
- Develop products and conduct trials at factory level for evaluation
- Support factory trials to demonstrate production capability and solve potential issues
- Drive continuous improvements in product performance against internal and external requirements
- Provide product design expertise to support and resolve product quality, food safety issues or customer enquiries
What are we looking for?
- Degree qualified in Food Science/Technology/Nutrition, Engineering, Biology or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in product development preferably within FMCG industry
- A good understanding of food ingredients and functionality, food manufacturing, food testing methods and scientific methodology is desirable
- Strong knowledge of food processing and packaging technology developments
This role will require you to work within cross functional teams to ensure the delivery of objectives.
Communication, problem solving, and effective project & time management skills will be critical to your success.
