About the role
Key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Support the manufacturing engineering during development
- Assist on all aspects of the product design to build an in-depth knowledge of the product that can brought into the operations environment.
- High focus on the operating procedures and process control
- Support the PPAP process led by the quality team
- Product introduction
- Support development of product documentation and training information.
- Support the programme manufacturing engineer technical leadership of the Risk Ramp of the product introduction
- Technical lead for the Production Ramp of the product introduction
- Technical lead for the on-going SIOP driving production of the new for the lifetime of the product.
- Support quality development
- Support the quality team with first pass root cause analysis
- Developing and improving tests for supplier FQC, Tritium IQC, subassembly and EOL.
- Bid support & customer audits
- Assist with technical responses in bids
- Work closely with sales engineers to support customer with detailed product knowledge
- Bachelor of Engineering
- Experience in a production/manufacturing environment
- Experience in Lean Manufacture & 5S, Kaizen & Six sigma, Problem solving (8D, 5 Why)
- Experienced with quality improvement tools and techniques (Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control, and FMEA)
- Understanding of blueprint interpretation, geometric tolerancing, classification of fit.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
- Demonstrated ability prioritise tasks and to work independently and collaboratively across disciplines required.
- Organisational, multitasking and leadership abilities.
- Proven ability to solve complex problems and communicate the steps to establishing a solution.
- Australian citizenship or right to work.
- Excellent communication skills in verbal and written form. The position is one of a cross-functional nature that demands constant interactions and deliberations with other departmental directors.
- Excellent people skills, creative thinking skills and problem-solving aptitude.
