The Position
We are looking for a Product Manager to co-create the vision and strategy of the Woolworths checkout platform. The Product Manager will lead a multi-disciplined squad and will be responsible for managing the product roadmap and backlog, as well as partnering with business leaders to achieve the product’s ambitions and targets, and enhancing the digital product experience.
This Product Manager partners with their fellow checkout squad, broader eCom Tribe & Product Chapter to shape the vision and strategy of the Purchasing Journey squad to provide frictionless shopping experiences ensuring a smooth path to conversion, personalized and relevant content upon every visit and optimisation of experiences to drive high customer satisfaction, orders placed, basket size and average order value.
Key responsibilities
Work closely with stakeholders to define the product vision, strategy and roadmap for the web checkout experience
Define and execute your Squad’s product roadmap based on customer-focussed, outcome-oriented initiatives
Define and manage your Squad’s product backlog, partnering with Business leads to ensure the backlog aligns with the business and product strategies
Collaboratively create and drive quarterly Squad OKRs (i.e. the objectives and key success measures for the team)
Accountable for the results (business outcomes) of your squad
Prioritise initiatives ruthlessly, using data and strong understanding of business impact and outcomes
Manage the product development lifecycle from inception to launch and ongoing evolution
About you
As the ideal candidate, you're a driven, passionate advocate for your customers and your business, with a sense of urgency to make things better wherever you are. You make data-driven decisions and obsess about the customer. Furthermore, you’ll also have the following:
Proven experience in managing digital consumer products (minimum 3 years)
Ideal experience working on eCommerce platform in a retail business
Adept at managing multiple stakeholder relationships in a large complex organisation
Proactive, self-organised and detail-oriented with the ability to think strategically
Innovative, customer-first approach, and demonstrated problem-solving skill.
