Job Description

We are currently offering an opportunity for a highly motivated, professional and enthusiastic individual to join us as a Product Manager ANZ within our Hot Water & Heating Division. This role is a 12-month Maximum term, full-time opportunity with potential to extend and will be based at our Clayton headquarters.

Key Accountabilities include
  • Monitoring and interpreting local market conditions to ensure product and portfolio mix satisfies market requirements and is consistent with overall divisional strategy
  • Managing existing product portfolio and supporting category marketing strategy to optimise market position and returns to defined divisional business plan in both the short and long term
  • Pro-actively seeking & developing new products to achieve profitable growth targets, ensuring product offer is market relevant, competitive and meets market requirements
  • Managing new product introduction and phase out process to ensure quality outcome and timely product launch and exit
  • Distributing and communicating regular and updated product program marketing information to the respective functional areas of the business and relevant external stakeholders
  • Actively coordinating inventories in line with sales requirements and financial targets
  • Ensuring all business activities comply with relevant local legislation laws, Acts, legal demands and the RBAU code of conduct
  • Regular communication with target groups regarding product and category marketing activities, market / competitor insights, sales support initiatives and other related topics
Position responsibilities will include:
  • Constantly reviewing and scoping market conditions, understand and communicate customer requirements, competitive forces and apply to relevant elements of product marketing mix and positioning, inclusive of Product, Pricing, Promotion, Distribution and stock coverage. This includes identification of gaps and recommendations for closing.
  • Conducting regular market visits and research industry development to identify changing trends and opportunities in the market including customer demands and related products.
  • Assisting in developing sales and margin budgets for Planning and Forecasting as part of divisional business plan
  • Maintaining product portfolio roadmap, technical specification and optimum price positioning for existing and new product development
  • Developing and implementing pricing strategies to achieve budgeted turnover and margin levels in conjunction with Sales & Marketing Manager
  • Supporting development and activation of category specific marketing communication plans and campaigns
  • Developing market entry and penetration concepts, including commercial calculation, product feature and benefits, sales channel development, competitor benchmarking for product and marketing, price positioning etc. for new products and for product maintenance
  • Proactively communicate product related issues with customers, suppliers and internal service departments
  • Work closely with other marketing personnel and functional areas locally and abroad to ensure accuracy and timeliness of product information
  • Creating accurate and concise product information to support sales, planning, customer and after sales service, and other respective functional areas
  • Conducting and manage internal and selected external product sales training for responsible product areas including collateral creation
  • Managing inventory and forecasting with input from sales force to achieve financial targets
Qualifications

We are looking for a conscientious professional with the ability to work across multiple business units, manage diverse topics and priorities, establish effective relationships across all levels of an organisation.

To be considered for this position you are required to meet the following criteria:
  • Previous experience within a product management role in a related business to business or consumer durable goods industry
Essential:
  • Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • High Numeracy and financial budgeting skills
  • Experience in a marketing or sales role within multi-national company
  • Working as part of a team in cross functional organisational environment
  • Working knowledge of the business processes for Sales & Distribution
  • Providing support for all internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent Organisational and Time management skills
  • Well-developed communication and Interpersonal skills
  • Proactive with a high attention to detail
Desirable:
  • Tertiary University Degree (Marketing or related business discipline)
