Customer Experience and Digital Technology?

The purpose of Customer Experience and Digital Technology is to design, build and maintain products, services and experiences that Australian's love and trust, while delivering a sustainable future for Australia Post. The key areas that Customer Experience and Digital Technology is responsible for include Customer Experience, Customer Services, Decipha, Identity and Financial Services, Digital Channels, Data Science, Data Commercialisation, Product Engineering and Platforms, as well as Technology.

What does the role involve?

The role is responsible for the end-to-end product management of the Insurance solutions, leading the development and execution of product strategies to achieve expected commercial and customer outcomes. Working with key stakeholders across the business, the Product Manager Insurance will drive improvement to our customer value proposition and customer experience led by strong customer insights as well as market and industry knowledge while also being responsible for maintaining and uplifting product risk and compliance and driving product performance. The role has product P&L accountability.
This position is a key product leadership role within the Banking & Financial Services Product Team, reporting to the Senior Product Manager Insurance.

• Develop and drive overall product strategy, product plans and business cases to support product related investments.
• Manage the deployment of product initiatives and campaigns.
• Oversee and influence the quality of operational product management activities including, issue management, business rules, policy maintenance and supporting service standards
• Quantify market and product opportunities through strong segment and channel analysis
• Provide financial forecasting, budget management and reporting for respective products

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience in product development, promotions and product lifecycle management.
• Experience in business development including major customer negotiations, bids, contracts and joint business reviews.
• Proven experience / involvement in developing ‘leading edge' commercially sound customer/product strategies
• Demonstrable experience in leveraging existing customer, financial and market data to generate meaningful insights
• Awareness of the regulatory environment for the financial services sector and key regulatory policies
• Working knowledge of technical, legislative, contractual and compliance obligations affecting both product portfolio and the market
