Catering HQ is seeking an exceptional Production Chef Manager to join our talented and passionate team. Catering HQ is a boutique catering company with currently 11 modern and funky venues throughout Sydney.
We have recently set up our own exclusive Warehouse & Production kitchen to centralise our purchasing and production for our 26 Dining Venues and 40 Event Spaces.
We believe in striving for excellence at all times and pride ourselves on having an experienced and dedicated team who love their work and their work environment.
This hands-on role will be involved in innovation, production planning and managing a small team.
Experience in a structured production environment is a must.
The Role
- Managing food production in a safe and clean environment
- Planning, organising and overseeing the production process
- Cook large volumes, butchery and maintaining work production records
- Check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met and maintained
- Training, development and management of your team
- Ensuring strict food safety standards, preparation, presentation and cooking techniques are established and monitored
- Ability to handle high pressure situations whilst maintaining the high standards of food delivery
- Stock Management
- Demonstrate a keen interest in growing food trends, techniques and the ability to contribute to menu planning
The Person:
- Hands on position with excellent knife skills in order to maintain a prep intensive menu
- Strong emphasis on quality and consistency of dishes
- Immaculate presentation and grooming
- Confidence to take charge and own the result, yet humble enough to listen and learn
- Honest and results focused - able to give and receive genuine feedback and take action as needed

- Excellent supportive and leadership skill set
- Food safety, hygiene, WHS and quality management is essential
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- True passion for food and an unrelenting drive to provide exceptional event guest experiences
- A relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar position
- Be flexible with working hours
- A team spirit, bright and positive demeanour
