Founded in 2014, Temple of the Sun is the embodiment of a shared creative vision between couple Yonna Derofe and Darren Gallant. The Temple ethos is anchored in a deep appreciation for ancient craft, historical codes and the natural world, translating into modern ancient heirlooms of rare beauty; Ethically made Jewellery that inspires beyond time and trend. 

For the last 9 years Temple has been known for their ethically crafted 925 sterling silver jewellery, 18K gold vermeil and more recently their Solid Gold Jewellery hand-crafted by artisans in their Byron Bay studio. Their distinct modern ancient design philosophy transcends trends and has earned Temple of the Sun fans across the globe. 

Our team of 20 is creative, innovative and dedicated, working hard to achieve our shared goals in a supportive environment with a culture that values work-life balance. This role is full-time working with us in our beautiful 600 sqm all-in-one HQ / Showroom and Studio in Byron Bay.

The Role
Production Jeweller

Temple of the Sun has a wonderful opportunity for a skilled Artisan to join and lead our growing team during an exciting growth phase of the business. As a production Jeweller in our Byron Bay studio, you will be responsible for the creation and production of our exquisite jewellery pieces. Your exceptional craftsmanship, attention to detail, and innovative approach will be instrumental in maintaining our brand's reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities
 

• Collaborate with the design team to bring their concepts to life and create stunning pieces.
• Ensure timely and high-quality work.
• Stay updated with industry trends and techniques to enhance the jewellery-making process.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth.

  You will have:

• Experience in setting and jewellery manufacture.
• Setting centre stones and engagement rings 
• A demonstrated expertise in creating intricate and high-quality jewellery pieces
• An in-depth knowledge of jewellery-making techniques, materials, and tools
• Strong attention to detail and a meticulous approach to craftsmanship
• A passion for jewellery and a commitment to creating exceptional pieces
• Experience in working with precious metals, diamonds, and coloured stones
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to build partnerships within the company
• The flexibility and adaptability to accommodate changing priorities and responsibilities
• Proficiency in using jewellery design and production software (is a plus)
• A passionate commitment to playing an integral role in the evolution of a growing company and contributing to a dynamic, dedicated, and supportive team culture
