The Role
As the Production Manager, you will possess high administrative, planning, and organisational abilities, ensuring the broader team has all the requirements to bring projects to life.
This newly created role will have you working across multiple environments - a blend of office, studio, and home, where no one day will be the same. As the production manager, you’ll thrive in fast-paced, ever-changing environments, be passionate about project management, and have unmatched problem-solving capabilities and troubling shooting skills where needed, to help deliver a highly functional and seamless production experience.
Join the team in time for the start of the NBL23 season and work collaboratively with the broader media team to push forward the development of the league’s media activations - all with the main aim of driving awareness and growing TV viewership and audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end scheduling requirements for production shoots
- Develop and maintain sound relationships with all required stakeholders - enhancing productivity
- Budget tracking & reporting any potential excess costs - ensuring budget is where it needs to be for the project
- Troubleshoot/problem-solve production shoots at production hub/studio (shared responsibility with Broadcast Production Director) - as required by shoot roster
- Shoot coordination: finding and booking of external crew if/when required, organising additional contracts/permit/access passes etc
- Liaise and collaborate with clubs to capture content, building the leagues content database & archiving system
- Manage archived content access and distribute as per approved requests
- Coordination of communication with international broadcasters around content availability
- External stakeholder communication - managing expectations and maintaining successful engagement.
- Coordination of centralised content system (Media Asset Management System), ensuring content is held where it needs to be for easy access
- Ad-hoc duties as required
About You
- Experience in media/production/television - desirable
- High administrative, planning, and organisation abilities
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites
- Ability to engage in a positive manner with high problem-solving capabilities
- Understanding of production needs & requirements
- Consistently meet deadlines and adaptable
- Self-motivated, self-starter with high attention to detail, and high personal accountability
- Willing to work outside of traditional hours in alignment with the sports/entertainment industry
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work both individually and as part of a wider team
